Winter 2026 • January 5 - February 14 (6 program days total)
The Winter is a special time to be in the forest. As the earth quiets down and the plants rest, a more subtle yet magical world is revealed. Come embrace this wonderful season and learn to love the outdoors all-year long. Special winter activities will include learning to make fires for warmth & making foraged tea, following animal tracks in the snow, creating hand-crafts by the hearth, and venturing out to explore the wide-open landscape.
Step off the beaten path and into your wild wisdom! Each week, young explorers in our homeschool programs journey deep into the forest for hands-on adventures that awaken curiosity, resilience, and wonder.
Each week, students embark on a journey through the forest, deeply immersed in activities like
🐦 Tracking animals and interpreting bird language
🌿 Harvesting wild plants for food and medicine
🪔 Crafting with natural materials like clay, wood, and bamboo
🔥 Learning wilderness survival skills and traditional skills
⚔️ Sneaking, boffing, and role playing games
👐🏾 Sharing songs, storytelling, and community-building activities
Using our years of experience in Coyote Mentoring to guide them, children don't just learn about nature, they find their belonging in it. Let the forest be the classroom, let the wild be the teacher!
