Secrets of the Jedi: Wild Younglings(ages 6-8)

Fall 2024   •   Secrets of the Jedi: Wild Younglings   •   Ages 6-8   •   Tuesdays, September 10 - December 17 , with breaks on the weeks of October 14-20 (for Earthskills Rendezvous) and November 25 - December 1(for Thanksgiving)  [13 program days total]

Enter the rich forested classroom of the Shope Creek Jedi Academy to connect with Nature and train in the ways of the Force.  Combining the physical skills of wilderness survival with the philosophy and wisdom of the mystics, prospective Jedi will learn to live more closely with the earth and deepen their connection to the natural world.

On the long but rewarding road to becoming a full fledged Jedi Knight, the Younglings and Padawans will build self confidence through age appropriate challenges and grow in community with their fellow initiates.  Activities may include making fire-by-friction, wood carving, animal tracking, guided sense meditations, blindfolded awareness games, harvesting wild edibles and cooking them over an open fire, storytelling(an essential survival skill) and testing their abilities on the fabled Jedi Training Center.
