Description
The Wild Crafters will spend their week answering the ancient call to create! During our time in the forest, we'll engage in a rich series of nature-based crafts while connecting deeply to fire in a community of fellow creatives.
Each year is unique, but projects and activities may include*:
- Primitive pottery
- Flint knapping
- Hand-felted wool pouches
- Basketry
- A variety of open fire cooking methods
- Woods and creek wandering
*The projects listed are examples, not necessarily exactly what we will do. Ultimately project selection will depend on the availability of wild resources and student interest.
we will gather together around the ancient hearth-fire
we will hear stories that feed our imaginations
we will sing songs to enliven our spirits
we will form friendships and celebrate each other’s gifts
we will be our wild and creative selves!
